Pyrotech

Today was a bit of a slower day. Had to run a bunch of errands, change a flat on my sister's car, yada, yada. Didn't get nearly as much done as I'd hoped, but I did spend a few minutes on doing some pyrotechnics:

Tutorial Island is really coming together. I've got brains done for the non-boss mobs, and I've got the item entries done for most of the items/spells I'll need. Just need to find the time to do some more icons for them, plus the effects animations for the mob abilities, the thrown rock, and a few other things.

I also tweaked the crafting interface. I got rid of the Craft Item button, and added a preview pane instead. As you add/remove materials, the preview pane will show the item that the current recipe will make. When you've got the item you want, just grab it out of the preview pane and it will consume the mats and add the item to your hand. The Craft Item button was fine, but this way feels more interactive. Plus, you can see what item you are going to make before actually making it, so you don't accidentally waste mats if you mis-click before you finish adding mats to the workbench.

I also started on some sculpts for the Tutorial Island mobs. Just trying ideas out right now, trying to get a good feel for what I want. I think the King Baddie might end up being a rival goblin wizard you have to defeat, so I can just tweak the goblin model there and call it good.

Holy crap, I went a little overboard on the healing triggers:
