First up I have two versions of "rock, paper, scissors" in the making.
One using win32, as I'm not *entirely* familiar with it,
the other using the Irrlicht graphics engine.
The reason I've gone for irrlicht is I want to get straight into doing some 3d work and I know from past experience I'm not quite up to the task of dealing with directx/openGL at the moment.
Using a graphics engine will give me valuable experience in just general programming, and hopefully help me get to a point where I'm more comfortable programming and can attack directX or openGL..
So far both of the versions of RPS are coming along well, the win32 one just needs the score-output implemented, and the Irrlicht version, almost the same.
