Thats right, I'm not dead, just unproductive. The past couple of days have been pretty hectic for me, and I just haven't been in the coding mood, and anything that I did attempt to code up resulted in a huge bug, and me rolling back to the previous version, so yeah, not very productive lately.
The Name Game
So a couple days ago Mark and I realized that the name for our current project (Dogfight Online) almost exactly corresponded with HopeDaggers infinitely cooler project, Skirmish Online. Now, before anyone else realizes this and slaps me with a "you're an idea stealer" type comment, let me present to you proof that Mark and I have been planning this game, and been using this name since early 2005. The Proof.
The American Fighters
Mark has finished up the high-res (128x128[grin]) versions of all the American fighters that will be playable in the Dogfight Online. We're still tossing around the idea of having ground attack aircraft as well, but we're not sure yet. Anyways, here's a montage of all the fighters for the American side:
Well, I'll try and get some work done so that we'll have some actual gameplay to show you guys, but until then, you'll just have to imagine... Peace Out!
Although I honestly don't see any big deal about the name issue, I will argue that May 6th, 2005 is a little earlier. :P
