A new demo, that's new!

Here it is!

You'll notice that I've made a more professional package this time. There is a manual text file that tells how to play. There is also only one executable, but there is a text file to toggle whether to play in windowed or fullscreen.

This is the first time I made a release build of the game, so I removed the two Visual C++ debug DLLs. If you encounter any DLL problems, please tell me so I can fix it quickly.

Enjoy!

It's working fine for me.

It might be my general crapness at games, but damn that's hard. One suggestion I might make is to have some way of letting the user know when they're damaging the bosses (make it flash or something). I spent ages shooting the first boss hoping that he'd die, without knowing whether I was wasting my time.

Good fun though. Time for some more practice....

EDIT: Just played through the first level again, and noticed that only some bullets fired by the robots do damage. If I hold down fire and run, single shots from the robots pass straight through and don't appear to do any damage. When they start rapid-fire it starts to do damage (a lot). The bullets from the guys in the windows always seem to do damage.

Thank you for playing!

I'm planning to add a boss life bar soon, so that you'll be able to tell how much damage you're doing.

I've heard several reports of the bullet bug on the first level. I've never experienced it myself, though. Do the bullets only pass through you after the robot dies, or do they still pass through you even if it is alive?

One more question, do you have Visual C++ installed on your computer? (I do have a relevent reason for asking this[lol])

Thanks again.
