Resuming normalcy

Life is returning back to normal after the storm.

I took a whirlwind trip to Chicago Sunday and Monday to meet with DeVry University folk about some degree programs and their curriculum. Hopefully I was of some service.

In about 4 days I'll be heading out to London for GDC Europe and ECTS. Considering I've never been on the other side of the pond, I'm really looking forward to the trip.

The last week or so I have been working on internal GameDev.net business that can't be discussed here. So, sorry, you're out of luck. [smile] It's mostly business anyway, and nobody wants to hear about that. [wink]

At my day job I've been transitioning my reduced team into two separate, yet cohesive and parallel efforts to port the project we've worked on for the last year and a half onto a new set of hardware (in terms of fidelity). I've mostly managed so far, and honestly that's the goal. I want my two engineers to develop as much as they can on their own so they learn and mature from their experiences. They only have about two weeks to get this stuff complete, and so far they've made great progress. We'll see how things go when I'm out of town next week.

That's all for now.
