So I'm now officially on Christmas holiday. Also cool, I installed XNA Game Studio Express(I was previously using the beta).

I've decided that I'm going to take a break from working on Blocky Man during the holiday, and write a simple arcade game using XNA. The game will be a Robotron style shooter, where you basically shoot wave after wave of enemies until you die. The goal, of course, is to get as many points as possible. The working title is "Gunboy", but I haven't decided completely if that is what I will call the game.

I should say that I will still be getting sounds and drawing graphics for Blocky Man, so that when I get back to working on it, I can concentrate on programming. I also want to learn how to handle file directories using boost, so that I can complete the game's level editor. I considering a good level editor to be the most important part of Blocky Man, because I figure people will enjoy being able to play their own levels and those of others.

I've just been wanting to do a simple XNA game for awhile now, and considering that I'll be activating my "Creator's Club" membership during the holiday, I figure this would be a good time.

One last thing, when I finish the game, I'll be releasing the source code. I'll release the source code for both a windows version, and a 360 version for "Creator's Club" members.
