The completed second "look and feel" scene came in:

We'll have a third shot in about another week that will be representative of the specific atmosphere and setting of the first demo.

As mentioned previously, it looks like coders will have a fun time implementing this look. We're looking for a shader programmer right now, so if you're interested, please send me a message.

Other development continues...trying to finish up the architecture (hopefully our new modeler will be able to knock those things out). Terrain implementation is proceeding as well. Some heavy work will be going into the GUI really soon. We're still shooting for an end-of-May release for the first demo, but we've got quite a bit of work to do on the art asset side to meet that deadline. The requirements are fleshed out...we just need a few people to help on development.

The GDD has undergone a pretty good revision. I've solidified the twist band and battle system concepts, and the character development system is pretty firm at this point. There's still some work to be done, but I think we've got a pretty good system going now; there shouldn't be anymore huge revisions to the gameplay concepts from this point on. All of this work is in preparation for the proof-of-concept demo we'll start work on after the first demo rolls out.

Shouldn't be too many more weeks before we'll have actual screenshots to show. Wow...won't that be something?
