The iPhone comes out later this month.

Personally, I love products like the iPhone.

No really, I do. You see, products like the iPhone allow me to immediately determine if a person has too much money and spends it foolishly.

I've got several bridges for sale...

Wii == best purchase ever. I haven't had this much fun playing video games since the SNES was out, 15 years ago.

I think the iPhone is actually really cool, but too expensive for my blood.

It'll help drive down cellphone data rates and improve cellphone provider quality. Those are good things; the US cellphone market is monopolistic bullshit driven by megalomaniacs.

What is it about the wii that you enjoy so much? I've been wondering if I should get one or not, but I just can't shake the feeling that it's just a gimmick :/

Six months ago I got an unlocked iPaq 6315 on ebay for $200. To it I added $90 for a GSM card with a year's worth of T-Mobile pay-as-you-go credit and $30 for a couple gig of flash memory.

Best I can tell, it does everything an iPhone does, only for a third the price and no contract or monthly bill.

Of course it's not all roundy and sexy and it doesn't do motion-blur effects when I press the buttons on the screen.
