I am tempted to get EartSea to watch, but have been hearing mixed reviews. Pretty much every Studio Ghibli film is worth a watch, my least favourite being Kiki's Delivery Service so far

Yep. Definitely one of the best Miyazaki films ( not that there any really any bad ones ). You should check out Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind , Princess Mononoke , Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. Pure animated bliss.

I saw EarthSea a few days ago and it was a bit mixed. It's generally pretty good but the story and characters are much simpler than I'd expect from a Ghibli flim, possibly it's aimed at a younger audience than usual. I'd put it on a par with Kiki.
Princess Mononoke remains the best however. [grin]
