Not known for realism

Implemented collision between game objects:

The screenshot was taken after I threw a crate with more mass against another crate with less mass, launching it a good distance over the other crates. It's not realistic, to say the least, but it actually turned out how I wanted. The physics are more like what you might see in Smash Bros rather than real life. When the main character is throwing cars at that bad guys, I think it will pay off (and yes, I do plan on having that in the game).

Up next, I think I need to get the rest of the main character's moves programmed in. Then I'll probably create some sort of bot enemy to fight against.

This game seems to be a huge leap from your previous titles.

Maybe you've mentioned this in a previous post but how are you handling your physics, are you just hacking it together? I guess you mentioned, indirectly, that you'd code it all yourself in your last post.

And seeing how you're adding all the cool features to your platformer any plans on adding wall sliding/wall jumping ala Megaman X? You just gotta ;)

I hadn't thought of it, but wall jumping sounds like a pretty good idea for the game. I am a big fan of the Megaman X series (most of it, anyway), and I've always found that to be a useful ability.
