Tonight I got a nice surprise from an old friend of mine in Toronto whom I used to go out and get extremely drunk with every odd Friday. He sent me a small clip of a track he recorded and it had positively the most awesome rhythm (which he wrote). And at my request he was kind enough to extend it out by a couple of minutes and let me rip on it with my skills o' shred (such as they aren't). I'd put it up here but it'll have to wait until he re-masters the track. I'm not terribly happy with the quality of my track, but I'm too tired to care.
Yesterday I went to see Iron Man again, it was quite amusing even on the second run. I got to hang out with Ravuya and dcosborn and talk about that stupid fucking linux vs windows thread in the lounge among many other topics. Those kids sure are bright. Much brighter than I was at their age and much brighter than I currently am. Although dcosborn, you need to increase the volume on that voice of yours [grin], I'm old and deaf eh. I think I might have to hire Rav as my mechanic, he certainly knows (and cares to know) more about cars than I do.
I've lost my desire to encur wrath in the Linux/Windows thread. [wink] Some people have made some good points already.
