The deal is that we're not doing a lot of stuff on the coverage page itself anymore during GDC, so Monday and Tuesday it was a pretty barren landscape, and more people didn't want it up than those who did. I had sent an IM to Richard about two weeks ago with the idea of having two modes of coverage pages, one that would better highlight blogs, twitter, etc, and the second for after the conference, when we were all writing full reports. He never got back to me, but I never followed up on it afterwards either. So, fail across the board.
So there are 4 places to get GDC information from us: Facebook, twitter, Journals and our coverage page. The journals specific to GDC reporters are featured on the coverage page as well.
Yes, this is kinda FUBAR'd, however we're getting good feedback from all 4 outlets so we have people everywhere getting at least a slice of the GDC experience from us - so that's something. So everything is going well individually, we just need to incorporate it all better next time. GDC 2010 coverage will be held on the new website platform so unless I am completely inept, we won't have this issue of spread out coverage again.
We'll of course have some other problem instead.
