Endless Fire

I spent a decent chunk of yesterday playing quirky japanease shooters, some I'd played before, but mostly new ones. There's some really good quality freeware ones available via the Internets, lacking in variety perhaps but really well polished.

Of them, Endless Fire is one of the best I've come across for a while. A constant stream of enemies and bullets and two weapons to switch between (crucially each changing your movement speed slightly). Levels are randomly generated too, so you can go on for as long as you want, and still manages to keep up the variety.

Oh, and it looks great too, with an abstract vectory style.

Go play it. Now!

That's a good shooter. Nothing fancy - sticking to the fundamentals.
