Much of the inspiration came from More OpenGL programming. Nice thing is that since i'm developing on linux, the code needs a few changes - so i'm using the book as a guideline to write my own code, rather than just copying and pasting. Definitely learn more that way. Anyways, the particle engine needs some work, as it only really does snow right now, but that'll happen soon enough.
I've got my terrain class to where i'm happy with it. So I moved on to a particle engine today. Anyways, here's the same scene, but with snow falling (it does look a bit better in motion, but I like it).
