Can anyone share any links to some starter tutorials? I''m new to game development and would like to get some hands on immediately. Feel free to suggest a starting point. I''m new but a very fast learner, so don''t hesitate to hit me with challenges....thanks.

A really good web site for beginner tutorial is
www.gametutorials.com
They have basic tutorials for almost every language (C, C++, java, etc.)

Then start your hands on here.
