no, sp2 just came out, vs has been out for a while
and most of the stuff i heard about sp2 is wrong or misleading, i suspect its much the same with you.
there might be some settings that need changing and you might run across an app that doesn't work right [only because it was poorly written to begin with]
If you do have a large amt of problems with it, its not hard to uninstall sp2
