Hm, have you tried going into the utilities section and clicking "more"? Maybe they nestled it somewhere in there. I was having a similar problem with some inventor files. Have you looked at Polytans? Also, look for converters that may convert your md2 file into a max-readable format.

where is the more function? i dont see it anyway or a reasom for them to place it there.

Do you have access to a lower version of Max? If so, I would use that plugin with a lower version. If you absolutely need, go ahead and email me the MD2 file and I'll import it in my version of 6 and export it as a .3ds for you.

well the main reason i'm looking for a plug in is so i can do it myself anytime wanted to. you say it works in max 6 right? did you do anything else but drop it in the plugins folder?

I haven't tried it in Max 6, however if it claims it's compatible, I see no reason to disbelive it. Looking at their site, it looks like it has its own toolset. Go to the utilities tab on the pannel to your right (The pannel with Create, modify, etc etc. Utilities is the last one with the hammer.) Then there should be a small button near the top that says "More". Look for QTip in the list that comes up.

Haha, sorry, but I have absolutely no idea. I've never used the tool before. I'd look around on their site and the internet, but I can't help you any more than that.
