I've recently browsed NeHe site.. Long time since last visited it, maybe 3-4 years. Just a thought - maybe NeHe writing a book about learning graphics programming and OpenGL in particular would be a great (and profitable?) idea..

NeHe's tutorials are great, but from what I gatehr he's not much of an author. Writing a stand alone tutorial and a full book are two very different things.

Besides, he's got the CD that's apparently been selling rather well, and his website is really THE place for openGL beginners to go, so I don't think he's in a rush to gain a bigger audience.
