SDL Fullscreen causes KDE to reboot
glxgears uses X and GLX to create the window and device context, not SDL. Hence the name. If you want you can examine the source yourself here.
No, I believe.
Well that proove this is an OpenGL problem then... Sad, very sad.
Anyway to check what drivers I am currently using from command line? So I can check for updates or get MESA.

Does it crash if you're running something other than KDE? You're definitely going to want to isolate what is causing the crash, whether it's opengl, sdl, X11, or some weird interaction with KDE.
Well nice thought bytecode!
I opened up a failsafe environment and I can run the SDL/GL apps just fine. Move the window, fullscreen, back again.. No crashing at all.
So does lead us to KDE being the culprit?

Well now that I know I can at least use OGL in failsafe mode I'm happy.
But still, how can I go about finding more specific information about this bug and its relation to KDE and where should I go about reporting it someone?
I guess all it means is that I learn how to use failsafe mode???
Personally that solution sucks but it does work at least so...
Still, any more advice would be great.
