Hey, I've seen quite many games using the bink format. I wonder if it's free and if it's easy to use with c++/dx9. I want to play an intro cinematic. (AVI file is 200MB, with bink it's like 15MB). If not, are there any other formats I can use? Thanks, IlyaZ

There's plenty of free alternatives. You say "AVI file is 200MB", but what that really means is "AVI file using an uncompressed format is 200MB". Why not use MPEG-4 or Sorenson or something as the format for your AVI?
Yes ok, but is there some rather easy (=quick) way to combine it with a game. Like through an SDK. But which one would you recommend?
