RTS engine video

So I've been working on an rts game. I would have had a demo like 3 weeks ago but problems happened when I shipped my pc to my school. Anyway, here is the latest of what I have done. lkajdf

Congrats! You've definitely accomplished one of the hardest parts of game development. Now all you need is a 3D Artist! ;)

Well when I said 3 weeks I mean I didn't have my pc for 3 wks. But looking back on my log journal: 26 Days that I worked on it (including modeling).


I'm not worried about the artwork, but I did post some screens earlier of some models LINK . I think I did a decent job on them.

No middleware. Using Blender, OpenGL, C++. Demo hopefully in 2 or less weeks.

That looks like it's going pretty well. And I'm not sure if it's just the video, or the fact it was running in windowed mode, but it looks like you could do with some optimization.
Definitely recorded the video at like 12 fps or something. Here's a screen of the engine with 132 objects + 84 particles. I have a 7800GT @ 100 fps.
