Hi All, I'm looking for some assistance. My 13 year old is wanting to start building some Web/Browser based games and eventually move to creating Web/Browser based 3D games similiar to what you see in Runescape or VMK. What is the best platform for him to begin building games and getting familiar with the game development? He has been playing with Flash and it is actually amazing what he has taught himself in just a couple of weeks. Any thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Well, I can tell you that Runescape is made using Java in the Eclipse compiler (www.eclipse.org), though that'll probably be pushing your kid a bit too far just yet. There are a few good options out there though:
