Cone step mapping in world space

i'm trying to convert the cone step mapping dist technique to use world space instead of view space, which never seems to work for me. One thing I dont get is that it doesnt seem to use the view position in the ray intersect calculation, so in world space the displacement doesnt look correct of course..
