Wow! That makes my simple raytracer look like crap! Plus mine is snail slow. :D Awesome raytracing action!

The wolf and his mate howl, taking solace in the silver moon. Pressing ever foreward to see what the future holds.

Deyja, Luca - I absolutely love those images of yours, especially the ones with lighting! So, keep 'em coming.

Here's my attempt at producing some nice raytraced graphics:

Those are some screenshots from a raytraced version of Raven Software's Elite Force. Although not realtime on my computer, people with an up-to-date CPU should be able to actually play the game with that look.

">Here's a video of a walk through Voyager's engineering room. And some more screenshots.
I can now load and render models in .obj format.

And the normal data for that same scene.

I need something pretty to render, such as a car, in .obj format, with textures.
You can get free models from:
here or here (just to tell a couple).

On the ompf forum there is a thread about free models.

You should be able to convert to obj from the most commonly used formats with free apps out there (or if you have 3ds MAX better yet).

Hope this helps

I need to calculate vertex normals at load time, and it'll be perfect.
