Hi,
can anyone please tell the difference between the commands cvs up, cvs -nq up ,cvs -q up -dP
i know this may not be the right place to ask but i need it urgently

The closest thing you'll get is probably using something like openoffice to open the file, I believe openoffice should support just about any version of xls, maybe not the latest? I haven't used either the format or the program in a while. There might be some tools to convert xls to a native format also, but then there probably aren't many spreadsheet apps that don't support xls in some form or another.
