Hello all, I am developing an application, which requires the need of Components that could Fly, Float on Desktop and Interact with the User through the Input Devices like Keyboard or Mouse. Please help me regarding whats the API that should be used in building such Components which could fly about the Desktop space. Thank you.

Currently I am interested to build the App for Linux.

In the general GUI layout, we have the basic Components ( say checkbox, scroll bar etc ) which are placed in the Container as per the User vs Designer's concept.

What I was bothered was, is it possible to build Custom Components ( Eg : a new Car ). For the sake of example this Car should respond to the keystrokes inside the App.
