Hello fellow developers! We are developing a game that needs nature/sealife stock photos as backgrounds. The resolution will be small (800x600). What sources you would recommend for licensing stock photos? What is a reasonable price per image for use in games? What are the cheapest sources? Thank you!!! Ted

Try creating a request using www.focalpop.com When you make a request, photographers will submit a photo that they already have or go out and shoot an original. At the end of the request, you chose the photo that you like and they send you the file. They suggest pricing and the results are great!
Flickr has good results if you constrain your sources to only creative commons sourced links
Ive always found just about everything I need at Deviantart.com
iStockPhoto

Although I think their prices went up. They charge by resolution (or at least used to) so it still would be really cheap per image.
