Had it with .x files! How can I render my own formats?

This is such an ironically funny topic - without being too rude to anyone specifically (Buckeye) I would like someone to post a link to a video or game that was made either by them or by someone else that used X-files throughout the development lifecycle and D3DX for rendering and animating static and skinned meshes.
I believe the more recent Flight Simulator games all used .X for their models. Granted that's probably not really very animated at all. I also heard that Everquest uses D3DX for its animation stuff, assuming I remember correctly.

On a much more useful subject, the OP might want to look at the Open Asset Import Library.
