Yes, thats what I am saying. If thats illegal,

As far as I know (slicer will have to confirm/deny), only versions that were uploaded/link at the end of the competition can be used.

Shame to hear about the mistake, though =/

Hello to all my stalkers.

Don't worry, I realized that when I compiled my game Visual studio ignored the #IF DEBUG directives and compiled all of the debug code as well. Go ahead, button mash, you'll find a few things and you may also find the level restart key....which is not supposed to exist. The game is supposed to have perma-death to make it harder.

It happens when you are in a rush, things are never perfect.

However, they will be written in classical latin, making sure to use as many words as possible that we haven't yet discovered the translations for.

Hey! I just spent the past week learning Swahili, because I was assured that it was the official language mandated for reviews! D:<

All these people with crossposts... WHERE DID YOU FIND THE TIME?!

As a fellow sorcerer, I can highly recommend the Time Stop spell. ;P

... some how a few folks *cough*Thaumaturge, Orymus3*cough* managed to really get around.

I'm not sure that I like that phrasing! XD; tongue.png

[edit]

If anyone is interested I'm doing quick minireviews of all the entered games.

Ooh, thank you! Your review of my entry was rather interesting, and appreciated. happy.png

And yes, almost all of the sound effects were created using my own voice and a microphone. ^^; As far as I recall, the only exception is the sound that plays when a spell-powerup appears (which you should hear on starting a new game), which I believe is a "chime" sound that was generated by and then modified in Audacity.

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

- Death is becoming useful because the enemies can be killed

- Death is is giving us some reward which can make the game experience to be more easy or more challenging by affecting our hero's abilities ( extra weapon stamina power; extra lives and checkpoints; halved weapon stamina power, no checkpoints, a timer which needs to be feed by killing enemies and as you discovered, an infinite dead loop if you try to change the tricky reward to a much pleasant one ( sad.png ) )

- we need to die for activating/changing the reward

- after we die repeatedly we are learning the enemies behavior and locations, so we can get better at the game after dying repeatedly

I only noticed the weapon stamina thing. I also did get trapped in that infinite death loop as well and thought it was a bug, maybe have death appear and mock you for going easy after choosing the hard chest? and then have the play able to escape the loop after, I don't want to restart the game :).

I also did get trapped in that infinite death loop as well and thought it was a bug

Indeed is a bug, should have been perfectly fine to change to another chest, but because I have written in code timerEnabled == false; instead of timerEnabled = false; the functionality is broken.

I am really happy with our game...
After almost 2 days, it had 2k plays, 80 ratings, 13 gameplay videos... oO I didn't expected this
I think we will expand the idea, a lot of people spoke about it...
I don't know if I am too hasty, but we already have this: http://trydierepeat.com, haha

Congrats rod, it great to see games doing so well!
Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.

There you have it folks, all games reviewed: http://darkdroidcom.blogspot.no/2015/08/woa-iii-post-mortem-quick-roundup-of.html

There were a couple with game breaking bugs, it would be nice to know if others can run the games without the problems I had, maybe with some help I can figure out how to run them too.
