LSL file has everything except for packages (.dat, .chr, .pbs), music, and level textures. Those are shared between levels.

You probably need to move your level into the lstudio levels directory. It assumes the CompiledLevels directory where it writes the file is up 2 directories from your project file.

>3. Once compiled, can LStudio reopen the level from the >compiled form?

LStudio cannot open the compiled level as is. It''s pretty simple to unpack it to a directory using the archive tool and create a .lpj file for it if you lose your original files for some reason.

Yes you can make up your own .LPJ file. It''s just a text file with two lines. Also the simpleland already has a project called world1 that you can load into LStudio. Look in the lstudio\bin\levels directory for sample levels you can try out.
