Dear Moderators,

Someone is deleting my posts in Engines and Middleware without notification or providing an explanation. I want to know who and why. It happened more than once in the last two days. Here's the topic which I had to post again (obviously I can't link the deleted ones):

https://gamedev.net/forums/topic/707222-simple-to-use-fully-featured-3d-model-format/

As you can see, there's nothing offensive in that, does not violate any forum rule, and it aligns with forum topics, as it's about a model library. So I wonder what possible reason could there be for its deletion, I wish to know.

Thanks,
bzt

Read your messages, bzt. Announcements are not permitted in the forums where you keep posting your announcements. And crossposting is not permitted, either. The only place you may post announcements is Your Announcements. Again: read your messages.

Don't post the same message across multiple sub-forums

The problem with this explanation is that I did not cross-post. I only posted one (topic id 707206) in the Engines and Middleware subforum yesterday. It got deleted today without warnings or notification. Then I posted it again, it got deleted too, only then I posted it in a different subforum. Check the logs if you don't believe me.

Literally that was the first thing that I did. I had no messages, no alerts, no email notification, no nothing. I wouldn't asking it if there were. By the way, my Message Center is still empty, I have no messages at all. I can only see a “New Message” button on the top right, a big white empty area on the left, another big white empty area in the top middle, and a text input in bottom middle. That's all. I've already turned off adblockers and script restrictions, still nothing.

Finally, some explanation. I still don't get it, since everybody does that. Why don't you delete for example

…just to name a few from recent topics in that subforum? I accept that you have moved my third post to “Your Announcements”, makes sense, I just don't understand why was the first two deleted and why don't you delete other people's post just mine? (Please don't take this offensive in any way, I'm just asking what was the reason so that I can learn and I can avoid that in the future. I really don't want to cause any more trouble to you.)

Cheers,
bzt

Oh, and just for the records, I see a “NEW” label on the alerts icon on the top bar, but there's no “NEW” label nor nothing on the messages icon.

Then the Warning system is malfunctioning. I'll report it to khawk.

Correction, now I see you have deleted my post (id 707225) under “Your Announcements” too. So all of my three posts are now deleted (707206, 707222, 707225). But why?

I could understand that if you've moved a post, but deleting under “Your Announcements”? Seriously, why?

Cheers,
bzt

I don't remember doing that. Go ahead and post in YA.
