I find it much easier to work in the right environment. Clear space, easy to get at recourses, TV off and music on (today it's J S Bach). It's also nicer then everyone else is out or occupied, and the dogs are well fed and sleeping. I have my own corner dedicated to the computer and all I need for my projects.

My desk is strewn with scraps of paper and notebooks with past debugging info handwritten on them …… programming, graphics and RPG books piled here and there …… table top RPG miniatures, plastic dinosaurs and other sundry toys, …. and sometime dirty dishes….. Oh and there's a computer. I can't listen to any music while I'm programming because I like music a lot and it draws my attention away from what I'm doing. The TV in the background doesn't bother me however.
