Hi guys I was wondering if there are any controls around that would allow lets say me to invite you to play a game ( PS or whatever) against me ?

I know its possible from within the PlayStation ecosystem but trying to find a API or sdk or something that you can launch this from a website ?

Nothing like you describe, no. There are APIs around it, but I believe all of them are limited by NDA's and license agreements. They're also not going to be useful for anyone other than the initial developer that owns the title, as they'll need to implement whatever full game systems and protocols the game uses. There are also security checks plus whatever the developers implemented.

While they may exist, none of those are shared publicly.
