Nothing else really to report. My current distraction is Metal Gear Solid which I'm playing through for the first time. It lives up to the hype quite well actually.
I've traced my problem to an issue with my camera class - specifically with its LookAt function, not correctly setting up the views of the patches. I'm currently rewriting it to use a up/right/forward vector notation, instead of amounts to rotate around each axis x/y/z.
