My keyboard is old and busted

It's time to retire my keyboard and replace it with something new and fancy and essentially exactly the same.

What I would like is recommendations on a decent keyboard. I'm trying to find a keyboard which doesn't have 19287 buttons for loading internet apps and changing the volume, and has decent tactile response. Not one of these flimsy plastic pieces of crap they produce these days. I've been considering getting an IBM model M but that might be a bit too old and clunky for me.

Any thoughts?

Saitek makes awesome keyboards. I've got one of the newer models in the Eclipse line with the little etched-out, lit keys. A tiny bit on the expensive side, but it has a great feel, is pretty sturdy, and is of course unbeatable for working in the dark.

That sounds good actually, and I would be willing to spend a bit more to get a nice keyboard. Just to check, is this the one you're talking about?

It looks like it might have trouble fitting in with my existing wrist rest (which I really love). Does it have bits that can dettach to give a straight edge along the nearside?

If you're up for it, I recommend this little beauty. I don't have one myself yet, but I've used one before and I loved it.
