Back from vacation

After a wonderfully relaxing two weeks spent around Eastern Canada I am back at work. Amazingly enough I spotted someone in Montreal wearing a GDNet t-shirt. It's a small world. Being back at work sucks compared to vacation but bills need to be paid.

I am also back on track with Tiki Lounge Blackjack. While I was on vacation I got the good news that it has been selected as a finalist for the Intel contest. I'm super stoked about that even though I know that I have no chance of winning. My goal of entering was to get some free press and have a nice line item on my marketing crap so mission accomplished. Anything else beyond that is just a bonus.

Getting into the finals means I now need to have a demo in their hands by the 25th which means a rush to get all the final sounds in and the levels at least resonably balanced. Currently all the level layouts are final but the tweaks around difficulty levels still need to be finished. It's going to be a busy few days but it should be manageable. All this work needs to be done for the IGF entry anyways so it's not lost work.

Congrats on making it this far.

I watched your videos just now, the game looks very nice.

Good luck in the latter stages.
