I hate trying to convert old code to my new code base. I have an awesome sprite system, but it uses my old code base and so it's structured a lot differently.

I've got a good chunk of the code reprogrammed; just have to finish up my graphics system (shaders and the sprite system really.) I was going to do a small GUI for the RPG I'm working on, but I'm going to stay away from "library material" for this project and just code what I need for the game.

The two things I'm going to focus on for this project are: making it expandable and moddable. So, it's going to take a little while longer so that I can get the file system and file formats setup as well as making a few tools for modding.

Everybody keeps asking me to do an online RPG similar to how Diablo 2 works, but I just can't seem to get into network coding. Maybe I'll try after I finish this project. That'd be a good next project methinks. That's quite a ways in the future though, so I'll worry about that when the time comes.

I'm off to work! YAY!

Network code is not as bad as you think. Check out Multiplayer Games by Mulholland.

Oh I know, I've tried it before. I just can't seem to get in the mood to actually code network stuff lol. But I'll definitely check that book out because I can use all the help I can get. Thanks!

I am indeed going to continue working on and finish Invasion: Fall of Man. The reason I stopped working on it was because I wanted to add networking support, but had no clue how to. Once I feel secure with networking programming, or I can find a network programmer I feel will finish the project, I will continue with I:FoM.
