Everyone knows that protection is inversly proportional to coverage on an attractive female, just look at any game or movie. (partically anime)
It's simply a matter of the armor being magic (remember magic does whatever looks good). And the more attractive the female the more the magic want's to cover and protect her (hence little need for weak metal armor). And magic heavy armor interfere's with coverage protection or something. I have a truly marvelous demonstration of this relationship, which this boards margins are too narrow to contain.
It all makes complete sense when you use the power of self delusion to convince yourself to do whatever.
ps. even samus showed off her in an alternate ending.

Morning's Wrath: Final approval for Morning's Armor(updated:10/4/2004)
Quote:Original post by CocalusSince the beginning, I've maintained that Metroid/Samus is a guy. I don't care what anyone says... even the developers: Samus is a guy.
ps. even samus showed off her in an alternate ending.
Hello all,
okay i finally broke down and did a few things =)
1. I covered Morning's abdomen with ringmaille, makes the armor look more protective, sorry guys ;-)
2. I took the silver base armor, and used the gold version to 'guild' the raised surfaces of the armor, the armor has a leaf pattern so the leaves and vines are now gold plated. I think this helps to make the armor more 'royal' and less 'plain'.
I think we are getting twoards perfect now.
Thoughts?

How does her "ringmail" pantyhose remain "up"? I think she should be wearing a full ringmail suit and chainmail on top of that. I'd like to see a version of her without the pantyhose actually. The pantyhose makes her look "gothic." If they were ringmail pants, that'd be a different story. I also think the 2-piece dress suit is too modern for the look. I'd make that a 1-piece and lengthen the skirt to at least above the knees instead of mid-thigh. If she sits down as it is now, it's a porno all over again.
I like the new design. Not completely practical, but less likely to end up slashed in half than before. I agree with Adraeus that the stockings make her look goth, but I think it's a good look for the character.
The gold leaf pattern makes her armor look ceremonial, like a royal guard.... is that what you're going for?

hehe,
they remain up, via an ourcroping in the back which is attached to a belt.
and yet, again, we left a gap for visual purposes.
She is a princess, so that is why her armor, is styled like it is.
You guys are gonna drive to do do away with the gap on the thighs arnt ya ;-)
I can feel it, damn it, lol

Quote: I agree with Adraeus that the stockings make her look goth, but I think it's a good look for the character. The character is a warrior-princess. How does "slutty" make for an appropriate look? It doesn't.

Lol,
So should i wrap her from head to toe in heavy plate armor? would that make her look more appealing?
we are going for _visually appealing_ not neccisarily accurate, the world that MW is placed in is entirely abstract anyway, which gives us the freedom to not be accurate.
Unless my view of the world is wrong, 9 out of 10 players will want her to 'look good' instead of 'look accurate'.
Am I wrong?

The problem is, Ray, that the ringmail stockings don't look like armor. They look like pantyhose that's sliding off. It makes her look clumsy and slutty. Show us a version with the ringmail stockings going up underneath her skirt so it looks like the stockings are ringmail pants.
Oh, and 9 out of 10 statistics are rubbish. ;)
