Maybe I don't live in your reality.

Probably not. I'm not sure that you and reality are on speaking terms.

the sad part... people are such morons... wtf...

You are in error. I did not have any relatives or friends killed in the attack but it still makes me angry. Then I read this crap which just reinforces it...

If it was up to me everyone who crossed the wall would have been shot the second they tried to raise that Islamist flag over our sovereign territory.

One thing I don't get is this guy is clearly an asshole for making the video. It's a couple of assholes making this movie. Why is storming an embassy filled with probably-not-assholes going to do anything to get revenge on some asshole thousands of miles away. All it does is prove that you are also an asshole. How many people would even know about the movie if it weren't for a bunch of assholes attacking the country in response.

I really hate how the knee-jerk response is always, "Hey, I'm pissed. Let's hurt a bunch of innocent people!" Not unique to the middle east. It happened in the US after 9/11 and will probably happen again now. I just absolutely hate that about humans in general; especially when generally they are defending one of a handful of religions that generally idolize forgiveness and love.

In the words of the internet, don't feed the troll.

edit: yea after more news gets revealed it looks like the attacks were planned anyway and they piggybacked on a bunch of pissed off people to pull it off.

This did make me feel better though.
It's crazy they actually killed the ambassador, but it looks like now the attack was planned apart from the protests, and just used the oppurtunity for cover.

I'm not a fan of PETA, but this is pretty much an internet argument fail. PETA != all animal rights extremists.

1) Huffington Post link to article actually disagreeing with the premise that PETA is a terrorist organization
2) Link to fast food and meat industry lobbying firm with a vested interest in making PETA look bad
3) Wikipedia link to a different, significantly crazier, organization
4) Something completely unrelated to the charge that PETA is a terrorist organization

You may have missed the point where PETA has in the past provided funding to the ALF?

4) Something completely unrelated to the charge that PETA is a terrorist organization
That was mostly because I find it highly ironic that an organisation which advocates animal rights as equal to human rights, then turns around and 'murders' 85% of those animals...

In addition to killing the ambassador they also killed a player from EVE Online, who was a high ranking and popular player in the largest alliance. Who was working in the embassy at the time, the events that took place in the embassy should not have happened, it is very chilling when you find out someone killed in cold blood lasts ever words were "Fuck Gunfire"

I wont bother going into more details, if you play EVE you probably already knew and typically I have nothing but bad things to say about news that involves religion or religion in general
Meh. Most people seem to use religion to give them something bigger than themselves to latch onto in order to maintain sanity in the midst of an insane world. It isn't intrinsically good or bad. Religion can be twisted for good or evil deeds.

What I'd really like to know is who was pulling the strings on this (seems interesting that it was perfectly synchronized with the anniversary of 9/11). It would be worth a million in taxpayer dollars to drop a missile on his head.

It always surprises me just how much of that insanity seems to flow from a human need to apply blindly ideologies (I'm not just picking on religion here - blind adherence to the tenets of Capitalism makes just as little sense).

EDIT: Originally I assumed (and this is purely from the link) that this wasnt as bad as the article made out to sound, simply because the news site was unheard of and popular sites were yet to report, I wish this were the case and that things were exaggerated but it is not

I will leave the vid here simply because it resulted in the events and if you watch it you will probably be wondering "how can such a crappy video provoke so much evil and anger, resulting in the death of innocent people"

And you wonder if Americans deserve what they get.

This did make me feel better though.

Yeah, its good that there is lots of sane people in every country, too bad the idiots keep making all the noise.
I don't suffer from insanity, I'm enjoying every minute of it.
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
