Well I can see this competition is going to be a disappointment if no one can play the f*cking game except those of us who created it.

I retried today and it seems a reboot fixed the problem. I have updated my review.

Thanks for the review DKoding, I will look into the freezing issue and the others are known problems.

Really cool games everyone, great work!

I had minor problems with playing a few properly as they had fixed resolutions and couldn't be resized (high DPI monitor).

@XXChester, your game just exits at startup after the screen goes black for a second (like it tries to go to fullscreen or change resolution). Is there a log?

There isn't unfortunately. I am really regretting submitting the game full-screen now.

Do you have a windowed version?

Would love to try it!

I'll throw one up once I get home.

Looking at the entry compilation (specifically, the .zip version), I see that Team "That Big Fat Chicken" has a folder, but an empty one--is this correct?

(-(\-) I swear i put them into that folder. welp, time to spend a few hours reuploading all the archives. *sigh*

Could'tn you just make a part two and avoid the reupload?

sorry for the delayed response, but i could do this. however i'd prefer to have 1 nice clean archive, rather than most every game in 1. and 1 single game in the other.

anyway the .rar is done: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7OCTMofiWbhM2FBcEdySXdGVUk
working on the zip now.

But unfortunately, we had disabled that dialog because I wrote some code to change resolution from the menu. If allowed, I'd like to enable this Unity Quality settings dialog. Otherwise, we're going to get decent score on graphics and on what we worked so hard.

unfortunately we can only accept what was submitted during the competition. accepting anything after would be unfair to other contestants.

That is weird, I am running Windows 7 64 bit and 2 monitors at home. Well I can see this competition is going to be a disappointment if no one can play the f*cking game except those of us who created it.

i haven't reviewed you game yet, but i did run it and start the tutorial with no issues. and no other judge has yet mentioned any issue with your game. so It might not be too bad of a bug.

I've gone through and added postmortems to each of your team entries! i'm currently about half way done reviewing, we should hopefully be all set by this Sunday, but i won't make any promises.
Check out https://www.facebook.com/LiquidGames for some great games made by me on the Playstation Mobile market.

You can see what I thought of it when I finally post my results.... NOW!

Aah, thank you very much! As with DKoding's judging/review, I found your thoughts rather interesting, and much appreciated. ^_^

Slightly nerve-wracking, I'll admit, but appreciated! ^^;

(While I realise that your judgement isn't official, it's tempting to look to it as an early indicator, a means of gauging how my entry might fare in the official judging.)

From the review, discussing the sound effect for the Firebird spell:

My dogs didn't like it either and they went crazy looking for the source.

Hah, my apologies--I hadn't thought of that as a potential issue! XD;;

Leave a comment to let me know what you think of how I judged your game. Judge the judger!

This is all getting very judgemental. tongue.png
