Project Updates

  • et1337 makes games - et1337 made one last push this past week for Lemma's kickstarter campaign but unfortunately was not able to meet his funding goal
  • r1ckparker's Journal - r1ckparker pops up with some images and a demo link for his nearly-completed game Charge! where "you play as a sorcerer on a tower who must defeat incoming enemies by throwing spells at them"
  • DareDeveloper's Journal - DareDeveloper has ended work on the HTML5 prototype he was using to get the feel for Canvas programming, but you can play the result and read his notes on the design/development
  • BlueStar03 - zBuLe has completed his website where you can go play the latest game alphas and it also sports integration with Facebook for comments
  • The Seven Tides - kyuubi has an overview on the first chapter for his adventure game project The Seven Tides, which he began back in December
  • Lactose!'s Journal - Lactose! shares a test image he's using of a level to help work out mechanics - he says better artwork is coming but I (and others in the comments) kinda like the style already
  • RADICAL HEROES: CRIMSON CITY CRISIS - MAD UNICORN GAMES has made available the full alpha version of Radical Heroes
  • Journal of Aardvajk - Aardvajk wasn't getting any fun out of his 2D platformer prototype so he's switched back over to 3D and is back to grappling with the 3D character controller
  • Beals Software - Programmer16 stops by with the news that they were also unfortunately unable to get their kickstarter funding, and also discusses a new, smaller game concept
  • Gamieon's Journal - Gamieon drops a ton of new video and game info on Paper Cowboys as he nears the game's private alpha release
  • Project X Development Journal - RalemProductions has a quick look at some of the big project changes, like the new name Project Progeny
  • RuinValor - Birth of Talos - riuthamus announces their Greenlight debut

  • Shawn Hargreaves' Blog - Shawn Hargreaves has a follow-up to his previous post about GPU profiling in MS Visual Studio in which he discusses customizing some aspects of it
  • evolutional.co.uk - evolutional is starting to work on porting JTippet's Accidental Noise library over to .NET
  • slayemin's Journal - slayemin is working up an engine for his game project and he recently implemented building thick lines with rounded corners off of vector lines. He also includes some general programming tips
  • BGBTech: The Status Update - BGB details the software rasterizer he wrote with OpenGL and then used to run Quake II
  • Tutorial Doctor's Journal - Tutorial Doctor is researching fuzzy logic and sharing resources he finds useful, so check back now and again if you're after the same stuff, or let him know about some that have helped you
  • Infinity Elephant Development Journal - Plethora talks about coming back to development after real life gets in the way, offers advice to help anyone else suffering from returning to their work
