Project Updates

  • Journal of Mak - Mak has returned after several years out of the game industry and has a Kickstarter project so naturally he's on the hunt for backers.
  • Pixel ? Tile ? World logo+%20bullet.png - Servant of the Lord has some new screens of the level editor in action, which is ever nearer to completion
  • Wilhelm's Journal - Wilhelm van Huyssteen talks more about his project, which he has titled Legends of Strife, and has a new video demonstrating some new rough gameplay concepts
  • Merry Prankster Games - gdunbar shares a screenshot that shows the model from his last post now fully lit, textured and animated under iOS
  • kseh's blog - kseh details the struggles he's had with his RPG project adopting a 3/4 perspective and having to layer objects properly to maintain that perspective
  • SpeedRun's Journal - SpeedRun has been busy changing his base code over from DX9 to DX11 and has now begun to migrate his Pong clone as well. He has just an image up for the Pong clone menu screen but perhaps we'll hear more details about the switch from DX9 to DX 11 in future entries
  • DMD 'Ware - polyfrag has a new gameplay video for Corporation-States as well as a link to download and check out the latest build
  • The life of a Unity Developer - dtg108 has some new screenshots and model renders from their Unity project Not Dead Enough, as well as a Q&A about the game, which is a zombie survival MMO
  • The Bag of Holding - ApochPiQ discusses his plans for Epoch release 14 as well as the raytracer he's creating with Epoch as a prototype. There are also earlier entries this week that show off more of the raytracer

  • New Old Things - Endurion's latest step in making a Commodore 64 game steps away from code for now and involves editing some text tables to tweak and add to various existing areas of the game
  • Journal of Aardvajk - Aardvajk shows off early results of a "2D GJK with expanding polytope algorithm", which he plans to do in 3D as well eventually

  • Ramblings of a partialy sane programmer - blewisjr finds himself programming again for school, using Python, and decides to compare Python code calculating the binomial probability of a number in a set with the same process in C++ code.
  • The Code Zone Bargain Basement Blog - johnhattan lists his essential tools for use with Windows 8 since he upgraded after losing his main dev machine
